can't install Matlab on Fedora Core 4

Dear all:

Thanks to your help, I have installed Fedora to my computer using SATA
hard drive. But I have problems on Matlab installation. It appears it
is related to installation of Fedora

I tried to install Matlab 7. As the document instructed, in my matlab
directory, I typed

\cdrom\install*

it gave such messages:

        /tmp/10397tmwinstall/update/bin/glnx86/xsetup: error while
loading shared libraries:
/tmp/10397tmwinstall/update/bin/glnx86/libmwins.so: cannot restore
segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

    Attempt to fix the problem and try again. If X is not available
    or 'xsetup' cannot be made to work then try the terminal
    version of 'install' using the command:

            install* -t    or    INSTALL* -t

/tmp/10397tmwinstall/update/install/cleanup.sh: No such file or
directory

Then I changed to install* -t
it shows:

But then I typed a and had to press enter key also , it quit with error:
/tmp/10517tmwinstall/update/bin/glnx86/xsetup: error while loading
shared libraries: /tmp/10517tmwinstall/update/bin/glnx86/libmwins.so:
cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied


I am sure I installed X-Windows. But what will be the problem then? Is
it something wrong with Bash? Could you please help?
