[OT] Deleting Threads in Thunderbird

In Thunderbird Version 1.0.6-1.1.fc4 (20050720), with the menu 
selection, Edit > Select > Thread, you can delete a thread.  The 
Shortcut specified in the menu selection,  Ctrl+Shift+A does not work in 
this version.
