 If these softwares  are rpm packages like aide-0.10-2.1.fc3.rf.i386.rpm

It is a rpm package and It can be installed with the following commands.

rpm -ivh software (installing)

rpm -Uvh software ( Updating)

here software means the software on the cds .

for more information on rpm 

type this command on the terminal  

man rpm 

or put this url on the browser

file:///usr/share/doc/rpm-4.3.2
