Lost Grub after some days(RAID)

FC3 fails to install grub correctly on a system with mirrored discs. I
would have expected it to fail at the initial boot, but if grub was
installed as part of a previous OS, it might work if the previous files
were on a "blank" part of the new filesystem, until new files were written
to this "blank" space.
