Are there any faqs for BSD admins that are trying to understand the 
fedora way of doing things?

I'm still trying to resist the urge of heavy-handedly slapping
commands into rc scripts.  To be honest I'm having a hard time of
finding info on how the designers want you to gently get the job done.
