knode: how to see recent posts

How can I see posts that have arrived, say, during the last 24 hours?

There seems to have been some change recently in knode settings -
perhaps coinciding with the upgrade from FC-3 to FC-4?

Normally I set View=>Filter to "unread".
But as I recall, if I set this to "new"
it used to show items I had just read;
but now it no longer seems to show these items.
In effect, it seems identical to "unread".

Any suggestions or advice gratefully received.
