Newbie: Frequent machine crashes and hangs in FC2 2.6.5

Hello

I have posted info on this problem before - but I
think I now have better quality data.

In summary I have run the Linux machine using FC2
at a 2.6.5 and 2.6.10 kernel level. 2.6.5 seems a bit
more "stable".

LEAST frequent hangs or crashes occur when I run
2.6.5 in a "command line mode" and neither a local X
session nor VNC into the Linux machine is running.

In contrast, when I run an X on the machine, either
"locally" or thorugh VNC, the machine just "freezes"
within minutes and only responds to a pwer-rest.

When the 2.6.5 kernel does crash, it produces
"console" messages. I just stumbled across copies of
them by typing in "dmesg" - and I have reproduced
below the result of doing that just now.

Any idea what the following is indicating and
where the problem might be? Any fixes or is there some
nasty hard-ware failure causing this and I should junk
the machine?

Thanks

Clive
