Yes, it is.

Download the update packages and separate them into two directories, one 
containing kernel* packages and one containing the other packages.

The non-kernel packages can all be updated easily by running "rpm -Fvh 
*.rpm" in the directory containing those packages.

The kernel packages should be installed rather than updated (rpm 
"-ivh"), and the packages to install will depend on you system, whether 
you want to build kernel modules yourself etc.
