Hold on there sonny!! While I agree, that this discussion, in no way 
belongs on this list, nowhere in your above quoted text, does it imply 
anti or pro immigrant views/strain. So, don't start any finger pointing. 
I was merely stating that the U.S. may be a laughing stock to some, but 
there is no shortage of folks clambering to come here (be it temporary 
or permanent) period. Now, if you're referring to my reference of the 
book "Alien Nation" (which, BTW is not included in your above quoted 
text), that's a horse of a different color. Personally, I don't give a 
rat's ass one way or the other about immigration & don't totally agree 
with "Alien Nation". However, "Alien Nation" does bring up some very 
valid points. Also, myself being African American, I have far more 
pressing issues to deal with than anti/pro immigrant views/strains (if 
you know what I mean). Feel free to contact me off list if you want to 
discuss this further ;-)
