in terms of hardware, do I need a crossover cable?  I seem to recall
that I did with windows.  Since then I've also bought a hub, so I
could plug the PAP2 into the hub, which, in turn, would be plugged
into eth0.  just plugging the PAP2 into eth0 won't work, I believe...?
