FC2 Sound Bugs - ALSA Update Needed

Sound recording is non-functional in FC2 due to bugs in two recording 
applications included in the distribution - alsa (v1.0.3a) and 
gnome-sound-recorder.  One FC2 user, Erik P. Olsen, has reported that 
"issue 820 on alsa bugtracking system deals with the problem and that he 
has not received any response to comments he added to the problem report 
about a week ago.  Since this problem has apparently been addressed in a 
slightly updated alsa release included in FC3 (alsa v1.0.6-3), it seems 
improbable that patches for alsa version 1.0.3 will be forthcoming.  To 
this linux neophyte, it also seems likely rebuilding FC3 alsa packages 
for FC2 would amount to a bug fix. 

Since there are multiple FC2 users who have encountered the alsa bug and 
a relatively straightforward fix appears readily available, could we get 
fedora developers to release an update of alsa packages for FC2?
