I agree that it does get a bit more complex, and have suffered from that 
myself, but as the OP is only dealing with hda, and hdb, which are 
harddrives, he isn't going into the more mysterious areas of Grub, and I was 
getting wrist cramp writing out that huge post as it was. I probably should 
have left out the "and so on" bit.
