Yeah, that is frustrating.  I had the same issue trying to get the
card I had working.  I am still new to wireless so I was trying to use
wpa_supplicant and ndiswrapper but that kept locking up the kernel and
it wasn't easy for me to determine if the problem was the 4K stacks
issue or something else.

I finally figured out by testing with an Ubuntu LiveCD that using the
rt2500 driver (from CVS) worked and didn't require wpa_supplicant at
all.  With that knowledge I was better able to build and configure the
module for Fedora.

So it is helpful to try some other distros if you can, just in case
they've managed to solve some problem that Fedora hasn't.  In my case
it meant using a driver that isn't in the upstream kernel and as such
doesn't end up in the Fedora kernel either.

As you have a similar chipset to the one I did, it may be worth
testing out an Ubuntu LiveCD to see if by chance they have a way to
make it work.  You may still have to google and search their wiki's to
find out how to make it work, but if the driver is included, it's
likely that someone else has documented how to enable it someplace.
That might lead you to a solution that will work in Fedora.

For me, just finding out that the card did work without crashing the
system was enough to motivate me to make it work in Fedora and it
turned out to not be so difficult - once I knew how it was done in
Ubuntu.
