FC-5 post-install networking troubleshooting help

I'm trying to get a new install of fc-5 onto a (working) DHCP network.  
During install I checked the appropriate "use dhcp" boxes.  Now when I'm 
booting I get:

Bringing up interface eth0:
Determining IP information for eth0... failed.

So no network.  Where do I start looking? Thanks for any pointers.

BTW, X-windows is not installed.
