umount of cryptodevice fails

Hi,

i am running FC4 latest patches and latest kernel.

i have a crypted partiton using cryptsetupLuks.

mounting the device with 

cryptsetup luksopen /dev/hda4 crytpodev
mount /dev/mapper/cryptodev /space

works fine. accessing and working with the partiton and files on it works perfectly BUT when i try to unmount this parttition using:

umount /space
crytpsetup luksclose cryptodev

i always get and error saying: 'Device is busy'.
i am not located on the device, fuser doesn't show any process accesing the device and umount -f also fails with the error message.

any ideas what i am doing wrong ? any help appreciated.
