Audio problem FC5

I still have the problem of gnome-cd crashing everytime I try to open 
it.  It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I have an audio cd in the 
drive (data cd's are fine).  The FC5 box is fully updated (original 
kernel).  Any ideas are most welcome.
