Thanks.  That may help.  I guess we may have to decide whether the
benefits of removing "shutdown" from the System menu [*] are worth
making it more difficult for non-expert users to do any kind of
shutdown or reboot.

[*] To me this is a usability issue -- it's very easy to inadvertently
shut the machine down when you meant to just log out.  I guess the
people who designed things, though, didn't think of that, and were
thinking more about how to completely disallow shutdown / reboot via
a GUI.
