I trick is to use the mirrorlist from FC6, this will also work
on FC5 (because of $releasever).

At least it works for the extras repository, replace:

mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-extras-$releasever

with:

mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=extras-$releasever&arch=$basearch
