Re: Rolling back kernel

What's the best way to roll back to a previous kernel? The current 2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 is causing one of my servers to lock up once every 24 hours, something that did not happen with the previous kernel (2933). If I simply try to install 2933 right now, it tells me there are two files that conflict with the current installation of 2944:

file /usr/include/linux/eventpoll.h from install of kernel-headers-2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 conflicts with file from package kernel-headers-2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 file /usr/include/linux/if_packet.h from install of kernel-headers-2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 conflicts with file from package kernel-headers-2.6.20-1.2944.fc6

Can I ignore those errors and force the installation, fix grub.conf and reboot (then remove 2944) ?

If you have a known good kernel installed, change grub to use it as the default and then reboot.

You only need to have one copy of kernel-headers installed. You may have to remove the new one and then install the old one.
