you need to be root so if you aren't already root on command line...

su -

then do this (you can paste this)
rpm -ivh --replacepkgs \
http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/fedora/linux/updates/8/i386/fedora-release-8-5.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh --replacepkgs \
http://livna-dl.reloumirrors.net/fedora/8/i386/livna-release-8-1.noarch.rpm
yum clean all
yum update
