Better keyboards!  Since you asked.  ;-)  It is a right pain having to
go through all these steps for the common ' " characters needed to be
used a LOT in ordinary computing.

What I want, and haven't had any luck finding, are easy ways to type the
proper punctuation characters.  Proper English open and closing quotes,
em and en dashes, etc.  It gets to be a right pain, when authoring HTML,
to have to wade through a keyboard map or type in &emdash; and “
all over the place.
