Looks like oggdec is broken. I built MhWaveedit this evening on Fedora 7.
Tried to open an .ogg file with it, and got a flicker of a waveform, then
just a flatline. then I tried an .mp3 file on MhWaveedit, and this decoded
ok. then I saved the .wav as an .ogg, and this saved ok, so oggenc is working
ok. Then tried opening the saved .ogg in MhWaveedit, and it didn't want to
know.

Next step. Ftp'd the saved .ogg across to the other machine which is running
FC2. Launch MhWaveedit, and load the saved .ogg. No problemo. The file
decodes, and plays just fine.

Conclusion: oggenc works on F7, but oggdec has crapped out. Little wonder that
I'm still using FC2 from day to day, even though no longer supported. It just
works, and for what it's worth, along with FC1, I believe that FC2 rocks.

Not the latest, and greatest of everything is there on FC2, but what is
available works, at least it does for me.

Enough said. perhaps someone will take notice of the oggdec problem on Fedora
7.

Nigel.

Currently available on 2 machines: Fc1,2,3,4,5,6, and Fedora 7, plus Debian
Sarge, Etch, Lenny, Kubuntu 5.10, and Slackware 10.0, and lastly Gentoo.
