minutes form the release engineering meeting where it was decided that
the feature was not ready for F7 at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ReleaseEngineering/Meetings/2007-apr-16
(although there actually seems to be scant discussion about the
reasons why it was not ready).

In any case, if it interests you then please volunteer to assist in
making sure it gets into F8.  We only have five months.
