Just a note here.  if yum fails on a package the postun (post uninstall
I assume)script doesn't run and the old package is not uninstalled.  Not
specifically yum's fault, but likely the packager, of course there was
this one time that multiple packages failed due to 1 stupid comma or
something in a script used by many packages. I had over 60 dupes before
that one was discovered).
