Random freezes on AMD X2 when multiprocessing enabled

Thanks for all the tips.  As Jim Hayward had suggested, the problem 
turned out to be Cool 'n Quiet.  Once I switched my BIOS to Hot 'n 
Noisy, the problem went away.

So much for my carbon footprint :-)
