The system isn't supposed to need an fstab entry for removeable media,
anymore.  You can try simply commenting out the line for your CD-ROM,
and see if the auto system works for you.  Mine doesn't need one, but
I've seen some mention that they had to - they probably weren't using
Gnome or KDE.

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5.  Today, it's FC7.
