So the question becomes what needs to be loaded to provide that 
information (and make sensors work)? I have an FC6 system which has a 
working 'sensors' command but no information in /proc, when I use the 
Fedora kernel. A test kernel from kernel.org does have the information 
in /proc.

I assume something isn't being loaded, but what?
