Fedora 9 x86_64 system compiling for i386

Thanks for the response. I had come to the same conclusion "The solution 
is to install the .i386 packages..." but unfortunately when I did a "yum 
list..." there were no .i386 packages listed for what I needed. Thats 
where the problem was...
