Tiny KMail/IMAP problem

When I open the inbox on my KMail/IMAP account
the items are listed but the content of the first item 
does not appear in the division below, which is blank.

If I go to the second item, and then back to the first,
the content appears - so it is not a serious matter.

I just wonder if anyone else sees this,
and if so whether it is a "feature" of KMail or of dovecot/IMAP.

I'm running Fedora-9 with KDE-4.1.0.
