Do you another usb stick or another usb device to test?
maybe another usb port?

Try a bit more debugging and see what you get.

Google for device "descriptor read/64" for other posts out there.
Someone even suggested to check whether there was a mount
point in the /media dir for usb devices.
The descriptor error seems to be the key.
