kernel panic with f10 install disk

Bonjour,
I want to upgrade my f8 laptop to f10 but the boot on f10 install disk
stop after a few seconds:
Kernel panic - not syning: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown
block(0,0)
I am unable to enter any options like mediacheck....
I don't know where to type somthing like: "linux xxxx (xxxx= valid option)
Where is the "boot prompt?
