Viewing tabs in an editor in fedora 10

 Thnks, but this is **not ** what I meant. You are right in what you
say about gedit.
However, I mean when pressing the "tab" key. (and not tabs of windows.

Any idea if it is possible to see it ?
With vi, these tabs are shows as "^I" (when running :set list")
