To who are you referring?  I've already posted a (rough) implementation, 
and asdas redhat com claims to have an alternate implementation (though 
I doubt the claim that it was posted to livecd-list, as I don't remember 
seeing it).

Clearly nobody, relating to the livecd persistence issue, thinks that 
they aren't allowed to work on cool stuff.  We've already got 2 
implementations, and it sounds like Jeremy may be starting a 3rd next week.
