OpenSuse vs Fedora Legacy versions

Fedora basically forces you to update to the newest version to stay
current, even for security updates. How does openSUSE handle this?

This is also the case for all development versions (alpha/beta) of
SUSE Linux, but not for the released versions.

=====

Concerning security updates of Legacy versions of Fedora, Fedora
Legacy isn't in charge of this ?

if yes, we should ask OpenSuse to formulate their phrase better.
