Okay, I had better clarify that ...

PCLinux OS has "taken over the home consumer mindshare" of that
other, allegedly, now former, "new, better than Red Hat" off-shoot
distro.

Greg hit it on the nose IMHO.  There is a reason why Debian and
Fedora still get a lot of contributors.  That's because that is their
focus.  ;)
