I believe that general discussion around this topic as resulted in a
consensous that codeina as we ship it needs let us be more fine
grained than the first implementation allowed.  If we include it again
in F9 we will most likely not be presenting any of the proprietary
codecs in the default listing if we can help it.  We might still send
people to fluendo's webshop for the mp3 codec and they might see other
codecs there, but I very much doubt the codeina in F9 will identify
fluendo as a vendor for any codec other than the mp3 codec by default.
 Codeina was and is an experiment. We are fine tuning how we use the
on-demand codec identification technology.

I'm not implying that.
I DO NOT CARE WHAT MOST PEOPLE USE IN TERMS OF PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE
I know people use proprietary software... I even use it when I need
to. But I'm not going to work very hard, harder than you, to make sure
Fedora doesn't point people to proprietary software out of the box.

It was easy enough for me.  Again... your solution is to find a way to
encourage the firefox people to make their plugin technology...choice
friendly...so that users have a choice between adobe and open flash
plugins on a per user basis.

Why is proprietary software bad generally?  If you can't answer that
for yourself, then I'm not sure why you are putting so much effort
into the fedora mailinglists.
