Well, Fedora Core devel still has e-d-s 1.7, but since 1.8 is out I suspect it
will be packaged soon. If you want to know for sure you can contact mbarnes, who
is the packager of e-d-s at the moment. But since the changes will be minimal
between 1.7.92 and 1.8 if you support one, you will probably support both. In
short: make sure you support 1.8, then 1.7 support should be trivial and perhaps
not needed if e-d-s is updated soon enough
