I just bought a $20 Logitech optical mouse at CompUSA
today, a generic one that comes with a usb connector
and a usb to ps2 converter, advertising both pc and mac
compatibility.

It's working fine.

I tend to stay away from fancy hardware, because it
often comes with fancy "unexpected features"...
