Gnumeric was at 1.0.x for a long time at the request of the author.  the
1.1.x series did not get full feature parity back to the old series
until recently, and the author didn't want regressions in support.  That
being said, he has recently made noises about shipping a version from
1.1.x so we'll probably update soon.
