Oops.  I'll fix this in an upcoming version of desktop-backgrounds...

I did notice that if you switch from "stretch" to center (if you're 
running at 1600x1200), then it goes away.  There are also several other 
backgrounds if you find the line distracting. 

I'll fix it soon.
