evolution config: SMTP or sendmail

When setting up my ISP e-mail account after installing Severn, I was
unable to send mail. The only way I could make it work was to change the
"Sending mail" server type setting from "SMTP" to "sendmail". This is
not how evolution settings worked in the past.

My ISP runs sendmail on a host named smtp.peaknet.net. In fact, there
are two IP addresses with that FQN. For as far back as I can remember
using evolution, I've configured evolution to point to smtp.peaknet.net
and selected server type "SMTP". That seems to be broken in Severn. I
have to use server type "sendmail" even though sendmail is configured
only for local host operation.

Has anyone else noticed this apparent reversal?
