ipchains: incompatible with this kernel ??

Do NOT use IPChains. They were "compatable" but were really an emulation
run on top of IPTables. The emulation is "pretty poor", IMAO. You are
far better off biting the bullet and adopting IPTables. I have not looked
back since doing so. They really are much nicer.
