hmm, sorry, that did not work.

It seems that the bug lies elsewhere.
I found this : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=119975

Modifying /etc/rc.sysinit as described in 
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=99096&action=view 
did the trick.

Also note that the bug is here even when installing FC2 Test 2 from scratch.
