Considering nv_local.h proclaims "Copyright 1993-2003 NVIDIA, Corporation.
 All rights reserved.", they wouldn't have far to go.

I don't have a link handy (so feel free to tell me I'm nuts), but I
believe I have heard the opinion that the nv driver is written in such a
way that it is only readable if you have nVidia's internal technical docs
handy.

maintainer whom is an Nvidia employee can investigate this matter.  Red Hat
does not have the technical specifications for Nvidia video hardware as
they do not make them available, so it is not possible for us to implement
features in the "nv" driver, nor fix most bugs in the driver either."
