  Pardon me if I'm missing something obvious, but...why in the *world*
would have to copy folder contents from an IMAP server to local folders
and then reimport them into evolution in order to convert from one
version of evolution to another?  Heck, even converting from one client
to an entirely different client should be almost a no-brainer when you
are using IMAP.  At least as far as the folder *contents* go.  Sounds
like a lot of unneeded extra work, to me.
  Local folders and configuration settings (including imap server
config) are another story.  However, one bonus of using cyrus-imapd is
that even your folder subscriptions are preserved.
