You missed the point.

I have 2 disks. One primary boot device /dev/sda and a secondary
IDE /dev/hda.

Fedora Core 1 and 2 both support my SATA disk, but the bootloader will
be installed on /dev/hda, with hda as primary boot device, if you have
an hda harddisk installed.
