Well, don't usually use up2date, but can replicate your error; however,
changing the single active line to:

yum updates-testing ftp://mirror.hiwaay.net/redhat/fedora/linux/core/development/$ARCH

to match my (working) /etc/yum.conf works-for-me.  Lots of repos are
changing to get ready for FC2 so expect to keep having to debug config
files.
