Meanwhile I downloaded the source of Moz1.7RC1 from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7rc1/src/
and built it myself and it doesn't crash.

So I assume this problem is only moz-based and only in the official
build from mozilla.org for 1.7RC1
