FC3 disappointment: KsCD locks system; grip; CDROM in general.

I am still running cdparanoia.  I think you've fixed that problem as I
am ripping a highly scratched CD and I am not getting any entries in
system log.  However, the progress is very, very slow.  That may be
because it is trying to get a perfect read from a scratched disk.
