I'm not sure why you are seeing this.. unless you have some duplicate
packages installed which are causing unexpected problems.
I have python-2.4-6 and python-docs-2.4-102 installed with no problems

In the future, if you could supply information about the version of
the affected packages that are installed and the versions you are
trying to install, that would be helpful for any discussion.
